Our Locally Inspired “Harvest” Dining Program
At Addison Place, we know that eating well is not just necessary to optimize health, especially as we age, it can also be one of the most pleasurable aspects of the day. We have chosen our name – Harvest- to epitomize our philosophy regarding each of those aspects of our dining program. We go beyond typical assisted living fare and offer meals that feature fresh, seasonal, unprocessed meals that are scratch made by our own chefs. To that end, we have partnered with the best local sources of fresh and appealing fruits and vegetables that we will buy as they are harvested. Our residents will visit -Belltown Hill Orchards in South Glastonbury where we will harvest our own strawberries, sweet cherries and apples at Belltown Hills Orchard in South Glastonbury. The Farmer’s Market will be brimming over with items like the ripe tomatoes and fresh corn from Glastonbury’s own Beckett Farms come mid-summer- ummm, pass the butter! Our low sodium soups are all home-made and seasonally inspired, and most of our tempting desserts will come from our own kitchens as well. You can’t beat freshly made!
In addition, we looked to the word Harvest to inspire the decor of our beautiful dining room, where our residents will gather three times a day to break bread, making new friends and chatting about the latest news of the day. Our dining room has beautiful views, and is a friendly, comfortable place where you can select from several entrees each day served by smiling wait staff who will know your name and how you like your coffee!
Nutritious farm-to-table inspired food, friendly smiling people, and a beautiful place to enjoy the Harvest! Come join us soon.
